After working with pregnant women just like you for over 20 years I know that you want the very best for your precious baby, but you may be unsure if it’s even possible to have a good birth or be a calm and confident mother. There’s so much information and advice and it can be hard to know where to start and what’s important for you.
I’ve created this Village to give you a safe and caring place away from the busyness of life so that you can enjoy a healthy and happy pregnancy, prepare calmly for your baby’s safe arrival and enjoy your new baby with ease and comfort. My team is here to make your life easier. We welcome you to your new Village and invite you to stay for as long as we’re of service to you and your family.
My passion for birth was ignited with the birth of my first son in 1994. I thought if I could do that, anyone could. My second birth 4 years later was even better, and I’ve been exploring many different areas of birth work ever since, from preparing women and couples for their baby’s birth to supporting births at home, birth centre, public and private hospitals, and of course spending many hours with beautiful mums, babies and families as they navigate family life. My work is my calling and a huge privilege and I’m forever grateful to every single person who has shared their journey with me.
There is nothing I love more than supporting women and their families as they welcome their new baby into the world.
I had two wonderful birthing experiences myself; one homebirth and one hospital birth and I’m now a mother to a 17 and 21 year old. Motherhood continues to bring me immense joy.
I ran a Steiner-inspired family day care for seven years, caring for the most delightful young children before beginning study to be a birth doula with Childbirth International at the beginning of 2017 and completing the Birth Becomes Her birth photography course at the end of 2018. I am the only Birth Becomes Her Certified Birth Photographer in Queensland.
My desire is to support and document each family’s birthing journey in the most calm, sensitive and gentle manner, to empower women to achieve a positive birthing experience and embrace their blossoming into motherhood.
Milk Supply was born in 2017 to provide individualised home visiting lactation support to women in the Noosa Shire. I have over 10 years’ experience as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in clinic and hospital settings, and 15 years’ experience as a Maternity and Child Health Nurse. I pride myself in offering current evidence-based lactation advice in a holistic, supportive and non-judgemental manner. Milk Supply is the preferred lactation service of many local families and healthcare providers. I’m the mother of two teenage children.
My name is Brooke and I’m a Registered Nurse and Midwife with a combined 12 years’ experience. I currently work as a Midwife at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
I am the mother of 2 beautiful girls. I was fortunate to have used Calmbirth for both of my births which gave me the passion to want to share this program with couples because I know how powerful it is.
I love nothing more than to see couples coming together to learn and embrace the journey ahead of them as they prepare for the birth of their child. The techniques Calmbirth teaches allow you to use your mind, breath and body to birth your baby.
As a midwife of ten years I am continually curious about the transformations taking place within the hearts and minds of new parents and the deeper dynamics as families expand. I have been growing into parenthood for 16 years. Three children provide me with ample opportunity to deepen my connection with each of them, my husband and myself. Our youngest is still a toddler. This unfolds in all its many manifestations – messy and magic.
The shifting shape of parenthood is benefiting from a groundswell of informed conscious parenting practices which call upon translating latest evidence into the lived experience. In the Pregnancy, Birth & Baby Wisdom sessions we will develop inner knowledge and strength, awareness of expectations of ourselves and others, and clearly understand how these change between pre- and post-birth. Through this space of sharing and connection we can lean into the Birth and Baby Village to address each others’ questions, from the practical to the profound.
I loved practicing yoga for many years, but after work stress and pushing my body too hard led to recurring hip and lower back injuries, I realised I needed to incorporate pilates into my practice. Finding Louise Solomon’s Yogalates was the answer I sought. I practiced for ten years then trained as a Yogalates Instructor. Following the birth of my two children, Yogalates has healed my body to its pre-pregnancy level of fitness.
In my Yoga Therapy sessions I assess your specific physical and emotional needs and develop your very own individualised program to make your daily practice simple and achievable.
My massages are deeply nurturing, thorough, flowing, and healing. My bodywork integrates: * Remedial * Deep Tissue * Swedish * Sports * Shiatsu * Chinese Massage * Lomi Lomi * Pregnancy Massage * Yoga Therapy. As my hands are uniquely strong I can use as strong or as soft pressure as you wish. I’m caring, nurturing and attentive to the different needs of different bodies, including all the different stages of pregnancy and beyond.
As a qualified yoga instructor, I’ve shared the benefits of yoga on the Sunshine Coast for 18 years. This gives me even deeper insight into the details of how the human body operates and how tension, tightness and stress can be relieved.
Being a mum I fully understand the benefits of massage during pregnancy, after giving birth and beyond for both mums and dads as well as babies and children. Pregnancy, birth and parenthood, while extremely rewarding, can be an intense and often tiring journey for mind, body and spirit. I’m here to help you feel like the best possible you for your life journey, wherever you’re at right now.
My name is Pernille (Vanilla with a P 😊). I am from Denmark but have lived in Australia since 1998. Since the birth of my first baby I have been on a journey to heal, understand and shift the difficult feelings I had from that experience 19 years ago. This has taken me on a big journey through many different modalities and trying out many different things to make peace with myself and my story. These days I feel clear and in full acceptance of that birth, the difficulties, all those things I wish I had done better, my reactions and challenges as a mother, triggered by or coming from that birth experience.
Along the way, I educated myself in the methods that I found made profound changes for me; in 2003 I became a Birth Doula, and I have worked with birth ever since. Then I trained with Birthing From Within which helped me prepare for my second birth.
As soon as I was introduced to Birth Story Listening through Birthing From Within, I dived in and became a Facilitator, as the method was so simple and so effective, but so different from what I had previously tried. Through a need to take women even deeper to heal issues that might have been triggered through their birth, but was maybe created even earlier, I found Feminine Embodiment Coaching. This work is has made immense shifts for me personally, and has really cemented that healing and it is truly life changing work. I use this modality on myself all the time and the shifts are truly amazing.
I bring all this work and lived experience to the Birth Story circle I run here at the Village and I can’t wait to support you on your journey too, so you can get on with life and enjoy mothering and your new family to the fullest.
For a long time I’ve believed that, as human beings, we tend to sell ourselves short. We’re all gifted with unlimited potential, yet we accept the mediocre. Mediocre jobs. Mediocre pay cheques. Mediocre love lives. Mediocre happiness. My journey, just like everyone’s, has taken a very unique path. Recently I chose to sell my successful construction business to chase my dream – to help people live happier, healthier and wealthier lives.
As a husband, and father to two daughters, I’m continually exploring ways to step up and be present for my family while I work toward my goals and dreams. I’d like to help you unlock your true potential as father, husband and man living a happy and satisfying life.
As well as core counselling methods such as reflective listening and ensuring a safe non-judgemental space for my clients, I incorporate many different methods and tools to suit you and your concerns. I’m passionate about working with women, partners and families during the childbearing years. You may be eligible for a Medicare Rebate so talk to your GP, although you don’t need a GP referral if you prefer to contact me directly. If you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, your relationships or just need someone to talk to, I’d be pleased to provide you with guidance from my years of expertise and special interest in perinatal mental health and relationship issues.

I’m a qualified teacher with 20 years’ experience working in a range of educational settings for adults and children. I discovered Mindfulness after a long struggle with postnatal anxiety and insomnia. I had tried many therapies without long term success, then found Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. It was a life changing experience that has led to me sharing the wonderful practices of mindfulness, meditation, breathing techniques and relaxation exercises with people just like you who want to feel nurtured, cherished and peaceful in their everyday lives.
I’m passionate about positively impacting the wellbeing of my students through mindfulness, movement and meditation and have been inspiring children and young adults since 2000. As a mother of two lovely young daughters, a primary school teacher and certified children’s yoga instructor, I’m motivated to create workshops and courses to empower young people to connect with themselves, love who they are and learn essential skills and techniques to benefit them throughout their lives.
My classes incorporate mindfulness, meditations, positive mantras, the power of the breath and the importance of self love. These skills are vital in today’s society and I make it relevant for both parent and child.
